As stated a few posts back, there were some technical issues for me during their last LIVE at Kichijoji Crescendo (no glasses!) and that waas really unfortunate because this night ANTIKNOCK was beyond crowded for this even and has a flat floor so options for taking a video was either really in the front, right at the loud speakers or way back.
In the front I knew there would be sound issues. In the back I’m too short, so sound would be OK but video image would be terrible.
Well here ‘s the result. I choose to be way up front because I LOVE THIS BAND!
I Love everything about them!
Their music, their attitude, their skill, their genre, their personalities, their show, their passion, their fire, their metalness, their speed, their energy….
and yeah did I say their PASSION?
I had looked forward to this Live gig ever since I came back to Japan in the beginning of April.
VoRCHAOS are very special to me!
☆彡 ★彡 ☆彡 ★彡 ☆彡
Their music is great, they are skilled (and I know I have written about this many times here on the PSW blog), but also they sent messages to me when I was at the hospital, when I was in pain and during my recovery in the US.
I’m so deeply grateful for THEIR Support and Cheering! Thank You – Kaz, Jun, Fuji, Yuzo, and USHI !
but .. and now I feel a bit ashamed, I had no glasses (reason to be found in the previous blog post)….
no glasses = no vision..
no vision = not a good idea to take photos or video…
hence the second half of this blog post title… Pink Spider Chaos…
of course then, this was their BEST LIVE ever… well the best one I have ever seen…
(They had lives when I was away so I can’t say of ALL their live gigs)
Such a great SHOW… so fired up, so with it… they nailed it! All the way including USHI’s stage dive!
There are Sound Cloud listening tracks with VoRCHAOS a few blog posts below..
YES, just scroll down a bit on the blog… OK?!
and they have been really good at updating their Facebook page as of lately..
Please visit them at: http://www.facebook.com/vorchaos
don’t be too sad about my mess up… I did get to see VoRCHAOS again at ANTIKNOCK only a few days later..
AND Yes, at that time I was reunited with my glasses
AND … Yes, I did take video and photos…so YES there will be a Blog post coming up with content from that evening including photos (by Laura Cooper) from Myproof who also played that night.
Another great thing with this special night at Crescendo was that I got the chance to see ‘兀突骨 Gotsu-Totsu-Kotsu’ and ‘Thousand Eyes’
I like both these bands a lot!
This Live at Crescendo was SOLD OUT!
which made me really happy because such gigs like these SHOULD BE…
Actually they could probably all have been at an even bigger stage
and still be SOLD OUT…
but well …I’m happy they weren’t at a bigger stage, because I like the intimacy at the Live House Stages.
The close up ‘communication’, the ‘connectedness’, one feels with the musicians,
with other people in the audience and with the MUSIC itself … being right there…
and not through some giant loud speakers and watching the band on some giant screen…
It’s them, they play, and I can feel the vibe with all my senses…
their presence is so very immediate…
Lucky me will get to see 兀突骨 Gotsu-Totsu-Kotsu very soon again… June 3 they will be on with another great band: OGRE
And those of you in Europe are in luck, because Gotsu Totsu Kotsu is coming over to you in Septemeber.
Take a look at the trailer:
I know by now, you are asking me,
“OK so how about the other bands that night?”
“‘CrossVein‘ and ‘Screaming Love Hole‘?
They were good too. I have seen Cross Vein before and they are a great band on stage, just not…..
maybe my personal favorite kind of sound.
But hey, as I mentioned here below… this blog is for you all to discover and explore Japanese bands,
and make your own opinions, so please vist their online habitats.
CrossVein is definitely worth the ticket price and definitely a pleasure to see on stage…
So for the past 11 days I have been to 11 Live gigs….
(one night I switched venue mid-evening, so yes there was one night without a gig).
This means that I have had absolutely no time to process photos and videos in between.
I take approximately between 300-500 photos each night,
so the work accumulates very fast and BIG time.
On top of it I’m trying to continue the development of this site so you all can enjoy the full site in the future.
Tonight and tomorrow are the two last nights out and about around Live gigs and the Golden Week, amazing one at that, is soon over.
Until I can take some time next week to look through all the photos and videos, I wanted to share with you the Final Fun last night where everyone is up on stage just having FUN!
It’s PARTY time with Adelheid, CLACK-NASH, Moneyqueen, BRUNET BULL…. enjoy…
so hang in there and there will be photos/ videos from VoRCHAOS, MYPROOF, Elüpia, Slave Sisters, QUORUM, Keiko Walker, Adelheid, CLACK-NASH, Moneyqueen, BRUNET BULL….and MORE!!!
TSP is band I have been wanting to see but never had a chance to until now. TSP was formed in 2010 by Taiji (X Japan, LOUDNESS, D.T.R, Taiji with Heaven’s and more….) TSP – Taiji & Shu Project – had Taiji on bass and Shu on Guitar (Cloud Nine, Crazy Quarter Mile), vocalist Dai (Taiji with Heaven’s) and drummer Hina (Crazy Quarter Mile).
You can read more about their current line up on there site (link below)
Other bands on Friday:
Sense Of Stability(OA)
Fear From The Hate
Photo is from their web site 4-24-13: http://www.tsprock.jp/
and here’s a video with a song I really like
TSP -“ASH & RAIN”
April 27 is VoRCHAOS
….you all know how close VoRCHAOS is to my heart (｡´ ‿｀♡) They are so skilled, so full of passion for what they create and perform,
and five totally pleasant and charming guys!
Listen to them on Soundcloud
(from 2011 recordings). They will be releasing a full album this coming FALL!
or check a few posts down here on the Pink Spider Web’s Blog for a video.
I want to tell you about a sweet and very talented guy I met last week. His name is Yuta.
First time I met him was at Yoyogi ‘Zher the Zoo’ on Friday (4-19) when my friend Yusuke (Dr. Moneyqueen) was playing at an After party for Heesey’s Birthday Live.
Yusuke was of course very busy, so he introduced me to his friend Yuta. People in Japan are considerate, thoughtful and kind like this!
We had a great time together across the language barriers. We then ‘ran’ into each other again on Saturday night in a bar in Shimokitazawa, as well as on Sunday at Club Sensation for BLADE.
Yuta plays guitar in QUORUM. I have never heard QUORUM play Live yet, but I’m pretty sure it will be good times.
Yuta is a talented musician himself, so I’m sure he wont bargain with what the band does together.
Just listen to this!!! I liked it the first time I heard it.
Second time I was like ‘woah what a voice’ ..he ‘feels’ it… he has it…. and then yeah …then the guitar….Mmmmmm..
Third time I was hooked…
so I don’t only listen to heavy rock …
I just listen to what I feel reverberates within me.
And it can differ from one day to another what I ‘plug into my ears’
That’s why I have a hard time with questions like:
Who is your favorite artist? Which band is your favorite one? etc etc
This song “above with Yuta for ex gives me peace and loving feelings….
I will post more photos from ALL the recent live gigs… promise and I’m working on it !
BUT while working on the images I do come across some photos that I just feel the urge to share right away..
Here are two of those… KAZ-san a totally AMAZING guitarist.…and he gets better every time I see them on stage…which ought to be impossible rather soon…
They are ALL skilled, they really are, and part of the reason why I like them so much.
Keep you eyes open I will post a few sound clips for you guys, so even if you are not in Japan you will have a chance to hear them. I’d say check back here no later than Friday (11-30) and it should be up ..
Meanwhile I will continue to work on the images….
There has been many live gigs lately (tonight I went to see HERNIA_44 another AWESOMEband!)
and tomorrow it’s time for Vagu*Project again (just 4 days later….!!!
I barely have time to transfer all photos from the camera to the computer, let alone edit them for publishing….
Anyway …. here is KAZ-san VoRCHAOS
