Matsue to Tottori

On the train again leaving Matsue towards Tottori, where I will change train to go to Osaka.
Tottori is the capital of Tottori prefecture which is the least populous prefecture in Japan.

The Mischievious Tortoise

Gessho-Ji  is also famous for its large stone sculpture of a tortoise, which was rumored to take nightly strolls about the town wreaking havoc.
Gessho-Ji is sometimes referred to as the Hydrangea temple, flowers bloom mid-June to mid-July, so unfortunately I was a bit too early.
