I can feel the kiss

I recorded this video clip in Vanuatu 2010.
The true beginning…as every day is a beginning.
I just wasn’t aware of it then, that the trip to Vanuatu
was going to set-off a chain reaction of events,
that lead from this moment in Vanuatu,
to my ‘new life’ in Japan just a year later.

The amount of accumulated special moments since then
until this present moment, is huge!
So what I am doing, is to spread them out on my
enormous time line.
I have divided the time-line spanning from little before this
video in Vanuatu until today, and on it I add photos.
To each photo I add a note with event name,
for example “Live gig at Meguro Live Station with xxx band”.

Under the line I also add notes like departure times for
flights, visits from abroad, and everything else.
Just to keep track of all the places I’ve been…
is a task in itself
During the years I cover (about 6-7 years), besides my life in Japan,
I lived in or visited (not in order and many I visited several times):
USA: Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico,  Texas,
Utah, and Washington
UK including London and Wales, Sweden, Germany, Laos, Ukraine,
Azerbaijan, India, Nepal, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan
Vanuatu, Mexico, Canada, Singapore
…. and more
and in Japan, I traveled a total of 6 weeks with Japan Rail Pass.
From northern Tohoku to Kyushu and a lot of it in between.

The program I use for this purpose is called ‘Scapple’
and it’s really invaluable to my book writing project.

In the photo below I combined two screen shots.
In the upper half,
one can see one year (of approximately 7 years total)
In the lower half one can see
how it looks closer up.
I still need to add more notes about each event,
for example names of band members at a live,
or who was with me at a certain bar and so on.

It is however time-consuming!
Often I find my mind wandering off.
A photo generate an intense feeling of
actually being there.
I can smell the flowers.
I can hear the music.
I can feel the kiss on my lips.
I can hear arguments and conflicts.
I can sense the love
It’s all embedded in this time line.
And the questions arise.
Why?  Why did we meet?
Why did I choose this or that?
It is also time consuming by the whole
metod in itself,
but in the end, I’m sure this is the best way!

Memories, but also a future.
My future.
Our future.
I have no doubt that even if I’m writing my book
about the past, it is not finished.
My story is not finished.
Friendship, and relationships,
continue in to the future.
My book is a snippet of this
It really has no true beginning,
nor is it by any means
over yet!

the Dragon

YuI and the dragon Blowing fire

Vagu*Project in Osaka June 22, 2012

This was the best live ever with Vagu*Project! Why because they were totally wild and so HAPPY. YuI was just amazing to see on stage totally passionate about their performance and they just nailed it! Wonderful to see and so HAPPY I went down there to see them!

Aresz was also great, and well I have said it before, the sound and mixing can break or make a live performance, and last time I saw both Vagu*Project and Aresz at Meguro Live station was a not good, but here the sound (except for a few mishaps with electricity) it was just perfect and Aresz were fantastic to see. A zillion better than at Live Station in Tokyo. Maybe part of it because Osaka is their home grounds? Either way it was a WOW night.

Sorry but there is no way I can blog anymore from this event until I am in Europe. Packing down my computer, but this was another memory I wanted to keep on TOP until I’m back here again.

Tsuyoshi’s heavy duty keyboard

Here is Tsuyoshi-san in action on his Formula 1 style keyboard!

The others are : Vo,G:JUN, B:ATSUMI,  and Dr:TAKAYUKI

According to their web site

they are playing again June 25th at Otsuka Red Zone and I intend to be there not only because I would love to see them again… but the line-up that night looks interestingwith

DAZZLE – 3rd time was the charm > 4th time more JOY

DAZZLE! at Meguro Live Station 6-6 12

Time for DAZZLE! to enter the stage again. I liked their music the first time I heard them, the second time I was intrigued, third time was the charm and I fell in love with their beat and unique style. This time (think it was the fourth time) I listened to their CD quite a lot during the last weeks before the live, and it was fun to hear them and by now actually know some of the songs they are playing.

You can listen to on their Youtube channel:

Next time I must remember to inquire about their name, because I see it often as damagefactory dazzle…. the ‘damage factory’ part seems to me to better suit them, but I really don’t know the whole story here. Their songs often have a sound of industrial beats that I like very much. Listen for example to the song “Inside my piece”  Better sound on their myspace than on the youtube videos…here:

Another song I like a lot is “Timeless” both of these songs are definitely high end quality when it comes to arr and melody  and would probably be on top list charts were they already a world known band…

I think this uniqueness in combination with quality material, much in the same way that Vagu*Project have their own sound [and look], is what’s appealing to me. Then add to it some added stage decore to make it a little bit more elaborate, is what is makes them appealing. They look like an odd mix of personalities and types, but they come together as a true band, and also another parallel with Vagu*Project; they radiate their passion from the stage, all of them! Tsuyoshi on keyboard being totally one with his instrument and bouncing with every beat on stage, is really entertainment business at its best. They love what they do, they have good material, they are there for the audience ..and they have IT..

I’d say they need more ‘likes’ on their Facebook page, so let’s help them out a little shall we?
